Cosmoscow is one of the key events on both the Russian and international art markets. The fair brings together leading galleries and serves as a meeting place for artists, collectors, curators, and museum professionals.
Konstantin Chaykin is taking part in Cosmoscow for the second consecutive year. This time, the project will focus on Horological Archetypes and the Bestiary. The Eastern Collection will form its central narrative, bringing together five characters: the panda, monkey, wolf, falcon, and tiger.
The exhibition will trace the complete evolution of each image, from a pencil sketch to a full-scale painting and a work of haute horlogerie. The booth is arranged to reflect this concept: one wall will display landmark paintings, while the opposite wall will feature color sketches for animal-inspired watches.
The main premiere will be “Wolf,” the second character in the “East” collection. The watch will be displayed alongside its original sketch. The eponymous limited-edition 12-color silkscreen will also be unveiled for the first time. Konstantin Chaykin personally developed its layout and layered composition, taking part in every stage of its creation. During the fair, visitors will be able to pre-order this rare work.
The exhibition will also mark the publication of the catalog “Konstantin Chaykin: Horological Archetypes.” Limited to 50 copies, it will feature paintings and graphic works, as well as watches created by the master between 2010 and 2026. The catalog follows the logic of the booth, tracing each Horological Archetype from sketch to painting and finally to watch.
