A bright new collaboration from long-time friends and partners: Louis Erard and Konstantin present the "unfrogettable" Unfrogettable. A Frog Princess, created in the Jura Mountains and clad in "samurai armor": isn't it too grotesque? Of course not! This novelty combines courage and romance, the rebellious spirit of Louis Erard, and the engineering genius of Konstantin Chaykin.
Louis Erard and the "Konstantin Chaykin" manufacture have been working together for several years. During this time, the duo managed to transform a classic regulator into the charismatic "Time Eater" and even present a joint tourbillon.
After such a list of achievements, one could only expect even bolder solutions—and the new joint model surpassed even the wildest expectations. It is once again a "character" watch, inspired by the image of one of the most famous heroines of Russian folk tales. This time—the Frog Princess.
A princess with a warrior's heart
For the new Wristmon, the partners completely redesigned the case, making it thinner and more compact. Instead of classic stainless steel, trendy lightweight Grade 5 titanium was used. The case is accompanied by a strap made of lacquered Himeji Kurozan leather—the very same that was once used in the decoration of samurai armor.
In Russian folklore, the frog is a magical creature, behind whose appearance lies an incredible mystery. In Japanese tradition, the frog (kaeru) is a symbol of resilience and inner strength. The samurai, in turn, embodies discipline, power, and the striving for perfection. Combine all these "ingredients," and you get a Princess in a high "crown" who is capable of standing up for herself.
Time on the fly
By the way, the Princess has already caught her arrow! Her huge golden eyes with narrow black lacquered pupils carefully watch the hours (indicator at 9 o'clock) and seconds (at 3 o'clock).
Minutes are displayed by a central hand with characteristic fletching. And also—what is a fairytale without love? The Princess carefully guards every second, yet she is not devoid of romance, so between the names of the two co-authors printed on the inner peripheral ring, there is an eloquent heart.
