The first martian aviator watch
Spaceships to take humanity to Mars are still being developed, but the watches that Konstantin Chaykin invented for the conquerors of Mars are already ticking.
He decided to make the Mars Conqueror Mk3 Fighter watch from titanium, traditionally known as a material for airplanes and space travel.
The hands of the dial show the time on Martian and on Earth synchronously. Konstantin Chaykin suggests that as a symbol of unity and nostalgic affection for the home planet, the feelings of humanity will remain in the future, after the conquest of Mars, other planets and star systems.
Production
There is something special about observing the watch being built. It is not just a mechanical process, but a true art in which the meticulous work of the master craftsman is combined with the precision of technical thinking. Assembling a watch is something that can fascinate, inspire and convey a sense of wonder.
“Martian” hands
For the Mars Conqueror Mark 3 Fighter watch, Konstantin Chaykin decided not to use traditionally designed hands and instead invented his own “Martian” hands. In his work, he was guided by the requirements for the hands of watches of the militaristic genre: The hands should be large, clearly visible on the dial and have a luminous coating.
The conquerors of Mars will make their way to the red planet in heavy carrier rockets. Konstantin therefore decided to give the hands the characteristic shape of such a rocket and to call them Starship hands. The hands that show the time on Earth are marked with greenish-blue phosphorus, while those on Martian are marked with orange phosphorus.
Movement
The caliber К.15-0 of the Mars Conqueror Mk3 Fighter watch was developed by Konstantin Chaykin to combine the display of Martian and Earth time in a single timepiece. The movement is made entirely in Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture according to the standards of haute horlogerie, using traditional techniques for finishing the components: Côtes de Genève, perlage, fine straight and circular grinding, hand-polished chamfers, engravings, polished screw, pin and jewel recesses, ball polishing of the pivots and rhodium plating. The special feature of the movement is a double vertical crown with separate functions, which was developed by Konstantin Chaykin for aviator-style watches.

Case
The Mars Conqueror Mk3 Fighter watch looks to the future. That is why its design shows the futuristic forms of the Martian space fleet, as conceived and designed by Konstantin Chaykin. For the casing, he chose titanium, a lightweight, robust and corrosion-resistant material that does not cause allergies. The brutal yet ergonomic case, with its dynamic trapezoidal design dominated by triangular edges, features a bezel attached to the case with 24 functional screws, reminiscent of the locking mechanism of a spaceship docking system.
