Wolf Goes on the Hunt
Ancestral Call
Konstantin Chaykin’s bestiary brings together real animals and fantastical creatures. Yet “East” collection is the first to unite several characters around a single concept and shared cultural context. The idea grew out of sketches of animals and birds of the East that Chaykin began working on back in 2018.
In 2025, the good-natured “Panda Titanium”. made its debut. Now the predatory “Wolf” goes on the hunt. In East Asian traditions, the wolf is associated with ancestry, martial strength, and the role of a guide – meanings that shaped the character of the new Wristmon. Despite its vivid personality, it retains the collection’s unmistakable DNA: the time indications still animate the face, continuously changing the character’s expression.
Ancestral Call
For collectors, “East” is an especially intriguing proposition: only one new character joins the series each year. The series will culminate in “Tiger,” powered by a manufacture calibreand scheduled for release in 2029. The right to purchase the final model will be reserved exclusively for collectors who own all four preceding Wristmons.

Profile
The character of “Wolf” is immediately apparent in its silhouette. The upper lugs are elongated and pointed, evoking alert, raised wolf ears – a detail that traditionally extends the character design in Konstantin Chaykin’s animal-inspired Wristmons.
The smooth bezel, free of letter inserts or recesses and finished with fine radial brushing, gives the silhouette a cleaner, more unified look. The 40 mm stainless-steel case comprises 38 components. The caseback, fitted with a sapphire crystal, is secured by six screws. Water resistance is 30 meters.

Gaze
Against the restrained black-and-silver palette, the bright yellow wolf eyes with large black pupils stand out immediately. This level of detail is achieved exclusively through high-precision pad printing performed by hand.
The artisan aligns the printing plate, adjusts the ink to the required consistency, secures the component, and then transfers the image layer by layer, checking every impression. Even the smallest speck of dust can affect the result, so the pad is cleaned before each application. To achieve the required color density, the process is repeated multiple times before the parts are sent for drying.
Depth and
Texture
“Wolf” comes to life through a combination of contrasting finishes. Wavy guilloché on the forehead and lower section of the dial follows the direction of thick fur, while the geometric pattern along the bridge of the nose emphasizes the elongated shape of the wolf’s muzzle.
Raised brow ridges with a sandblasted finish add further depth. The contrast between matte textures, the smooth convex nose, and polished applied elements gives the character greater definition and volume.
Hunting the
Full Moon
In classic Wristmons, the moonphase indicator is driven by a 59-tooth wheel: two images of Earth’s satellite pass alternately through the aperture, displaying the full lunar cycle. In “Wolf,” Konstantin Chaykin changed the principle itself: the indicator shows only the full-moon period, lasting two to three days.
The disk gradually appears in the fanged jaws on the day before the full moon, remains visible on the day itself and for another 24 hours afterward. It then makes a discrete switch, jumping back to its starting position and disappearing completely from view.
