A unique Wristmon dedicated to the ancient Roman Stoic philosopher has been created for the charity auction.
The Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture presents Seneca II, a new creation that continues the artistic concept of the 2024 timepiece. Synthetic ruby-tipped hands provide the most striking accents against the restrained silver-gray palette of the dial. The “eyes” indicate the hours and minutes, while the broad smile displays the phases of the Moon.
Wavy guilloché on the lower part of the dial evokes the flowing beard of an ancient sage. The calendar’s defining feature is an “encoded” maxim from Seneca’s treatise On Benefits: Non fructum beneficiorum sequi – “To seek no reward for good deeds.” Latin letters are woven into the date-ring markings and can be viewed through a sapphire magnifying lens. The 40 mm titanium case houses the self-winding caliber K.18-18.6, equipped with Chaykin’s proprietary Joker display module and a 68-hour power reserve. The unique Seneca II will be offered at Christie’s Rare Watches Including Watches for ELA auction in Geneva on November 9, 2026.
The first Watches for ELA charity auction took place in 2024, bringing together 11 watch brands. Total proceeds, including the sale of an additional lot, reached CHF 843,000. The initiative supports ELA (European Leukodystrophy Association), which funds research into rare inherited disorders of the nervous system and provides assistance to patients and their families. For Konstantin Chaykin, the project marks another chapter in his charitable work, which began in 2017.
