In Atomic Heart, the Twins serve as Professor Dmitry Sechenov’s personal bodyguards. Their balletic movements, metallic bodies, golden braids and red stars on their foreheads have made them two of the game’s most recognizable characters. In bringing them to the dial, Konstantin Chaykin revisits the artistic idea behind his Venus watch: the moon-phase display once again becomes a woman’s face.
The Left Twin is depicted as a black silhouette on a vivid red dial. The silver-toned Right Twin, dressed in a cropped gold-toned cardigan, stands out against a graphite background. Each has a distinct guilloché pattern: an original interpretation of Grain d’Orge for the Left Twin and straight rays radiating from behind the Right Twin’s head.
A large moon-phase display occupies the upper part of the dial. As the disc turns, the proportion of its light and dark sections shifts, giving the ballerina’s face a new expression. The star is made of synthetic ruby. Two more synthetic rubies, set in gold-plated brass, serve as the hour and minute pointers.
Both watches have 40 mm titanium cases and are powered by the automatic K.18-25 caliber, based on the La Joux-Perret G200. The Manufacture’s display module, developed and made in-house, comprises 68 components, while the movement offers a 68-hour power reserve. Each version is limited to 69 pieces.
